(Slay News) – Dr. Anthony Fauci is facing fire after it emerged that he and other federal government vaccine regulators have received millions of dollars in “royalties” from pharmaceutical companies that produce COVID-19 shots.

During a fiery confrontation at a Senate hearing on Thursday, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) grilled Fauci about the payments he’s received while working for the federal government.

Paul also demanded answers from Fauci on the influence these payments have over vaccines being approved by the federal government for public use.

Paul confronted Fauci during the hearing on the federal government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The stunning exchange in the Senate took place over teleconference due to Fauci testing positive for the virus on Wednesday.

“Dr. Fauci, the government recommends everybody take a booster over age five,” Paul began.

“Are you aware of any studies that show a reduction in hospitalization or death for children who take a booster?”

“Right now?” Fauci asked.

“There’s not enough data that has been accumulated, Senator Paul, to indicate that that’s the case.

“I believe that the recommendation that was made was based on the assumption that if you look at the morbidity and mortality of children within each of the age groups, you know, 0 to 5, 5 to 11…”

“So there are no studies, and Americans should all know this,” Paul replied.

“There are no studies on children showing a reduction in hospitalization or death with taking a booster.

“The only studies that were permitted, the only studies that were presented were antibody studies.

“So they say, ‘if we give you a booster, you make antibodies.’

“Now a lot of scientists would question whether or not that’s proof of efficacy of a vaccine.

“If I give you 10, or if I give a patient 10 mRNA vaccines, and they make protein each time, or they make antibody each time, is that proof that we should give 10 boosters, Dr. Fauci?”

“No,” Fauci responded. “I think that is somewhat of an absurd exaggeration.”

“Well, that is the proof that you use, your committees use,” Paul replied.

“That that’s the only proof you have to tell children to take boosters that they make antibodies.

“So it’s not an absurdity you’re already yet like five boosters for people.

“You’ve had, you know, two or three boosters. It’s like, where is the proof?”

“Now, I think there is probably some indication for older folks that have some risk factors,” Paul continued.

“For younger folks, there’s not. But here’s the other thing.

“There are some risk factors for the vaccine.

“So, the risk of myocarditis with a second dose for adolescent boys, 12 to 24, is about 80 in a million.

“This is both from the CDC and from the Israeli study.”

“It’s also in the VAERS study, remarkably similar for boys, much higher from boys than girls and much higher than the background,” Paul went on.

“The background’s about two per million. So there is risk and there are risk.”

“And you’re telling everybody in America just blindly go out there because we made antibodies,” Paul noted.

“So it is not an absurd corollary to say, if you have 10, in fact, you probably make antibodies.

If you get a hundred boosters, alright, that’s not science, that’s conjecture, and we should not be making public policy on it.”

“So, Senator Paul, if I might respond to that we just heard in his opening statement ranking member Burr, talk about his staff who went to Israel,” Fauci commented.

“And if you look at the data from Israel, the boosts, both the third shot boost and the fourth shot boost was associated with a clear cut clinical effect, mostly in elderly people, but also as they gathered more data, even in people in the forties and the fifties. So there is clinical data.”

“But not in children,” Paul noted.

“Well, see, here’s the thing, you’re not willing to be honest with the American people,” Senator Paul went on.

“So, for example, 75% of kids have had the disease.

“Why is the CDC not including this in the data?”

“You can ask the question, you can do laboratory tests to find out who’s had it and who hasn’t had the disease,” Paul added.

“What is the incidence of hospitalization and death for children who have been infected with COVID subsequently going to the hospital or dying?

“What is the possibility, if your kid has had COVID, which is 75% of the country’s had COVID, what is the chance that my child’s going to the hospital or dying?”

“If you look at the number of deaths in pediatrics, Senator, you can see that there are more deaths in people who have had it, of people have had the disease,” Fauci remarked.

“Senator, we also know from other studies that the optimal degree of protection… is to get vaccinated after infection.

“And in fact, showing reinfection in the era of Omicron and the sublineages that vaccination…”

“But you can’t answer the question I ask,” Paul said, cutting off Fauci.

“The question I ask is how many kids are dying and how many kids are going to the hospital who’ve already had COVID.

“The answer may be zero, but you’re not even giving us the data because you have so much wanted to protect everybody from all the data, because we’re not smart enough to look at the data.”

“When you released data earlier, when the CDC released the data, they left out the category of 18 to 49 on whether or not there was a health benefit for adults 18 to 49,” Paul added.

“Why was it left out? When critics finally complained, it was finally included because there was no health benefit from taking a booster between the 18 to 49 in the CDC study.”

“Another question for you,” Paul went on.

“The NIH continues to refuse to voluntarily divulge the names of scientists who receive royalties and from which companies over the period of time from 2010 to 2016, 27,000 royalty payments were paid to 1800 NIH employees.

“We know that. Not because you told us, but because we forced you to tell us through the Freedom of Information Act.

“Over 193 million was given to these… 1800 employees,” Paul said.

“Can you tell me that you have not received a royalty from any entity that you ever oversaw the distribution of money in research grants?”

“Well, first of all, let’s talk about royalty,” Fauci rebutted.

“No, that’s the question,” Senator Paul insisted.

“Have you ever overseen, have you ever received a royalty payment from a company that you later oversaw money going to that company?”

“You know, I don’t know as a fact, but I doubt it,” Fauci responded.

“I would be happy…”

“Well, here’s the thing is why don’t you let us know?” Paul replied.

“Why don’t you reveal… how much you’ve gotten and from what entities, the NIH refuses.

“Look we asked them. We asked them the NIH.

“We asked them whether or not who got it and how much they refuse to tell us they sent it redacted.”

“Here’s what I want to know. It’s not just about you, everybody on the vaccine committee, have any of them ever received money from the people who make vaccines?” Paul asked.

“Can you tell me that? Can you tell me if anybody on the vaccine approval committees ever receive any money from people?”

“Soundbite, number one. Are you going to let me answer a question?” Fauci objected.

“Okay. So let me give you some information.”

“First of all, according to the regulations, people who receive royalties are not required to divulge them, even on their financial statement, according to the Bayh-Dole act,” Fauci said.

“So let me give you some example from 2015 to 2020, I, the only royalties I have, was my lab and I made a monoclonal antibody for use in vitro reagent that had nothing to do with patients.

“And during that period of time, my royalties ranged from $21 a year to $700 a year.

“And the average per year was $191 and 46 cents.”

“It’s all redacted and you can’t get any information on the 1800 scientists,” Paul concluded before he was cut off by the chair.

Gov. Ron DeSantis’ net worth dropped just over 8.5 percent in his third year as the state’s chief executive.

Listing the $134,181 he made as governor as his only income, DeSantis reported a net worth of $318,987 as of Dec. 31.

DeSantis filed the financial disclosure last week at the state Division of Elections as part of reelection campaign documents.

Last year, DeSantis reported a net worth of $348,832 as of Dec. 31, 2020.

That was up from $291,449 at the end of 2019.

…DeSantis listed assets at the end of 2021 of $202,980 in USAA checking and savings accounts; $89,066 in a thrift savings plan, a type of retirement savings and investment plan; and $48,226 in the Florida Retirement System.

The Florida Retirement System account grew by $17,923 from the previous year, while the USAA total fell by $32,020 and the thrift plan decreased by $16,689.

DeSantis also continued to pay down a Sallie Mae student loan during 2021, with the balance going from $22,225 in at the end of 2020 to $21,285 as of Dec. 31.

SHOCK REPORT: Mass Cattle Death Sparks Incoming Food SHORTAGE

(Slay News) – Over 10,000 cattle have died in the recent Kansas heatwave, adding further pressure to America’s food supply crisis.

Kansas and much of the Midwest have suffered severe heat this week as temperatures hovered around 100 degrees.

The news comes as White House officials are leaking about America’s mounting economic crises, admitting privately that Democrat President Joe Biden’s sanctions against Russia are “exacerbating inflation and worsening food insecurity.”

As Slay News reported earlier today, Biden admin insiders are raising concerns the sanctions on Russia are causing massive “collateral damage” to the American and the world economy.

Worryingly, the White House officials say Biden’s miscalculation and bungled rollout of the sanctions may lead to a worldwide famine that will destabilize the entire world.

However, according to Biden’s U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), there are currently no nationwide food shortages in the country.

“There are currently no nationwide shortages of food, although in some cases the inventory of certain foods at your grocery store might be temporarily low before stores can restock,” the agency said on its website.

“Food production and manufacturing are widely dispersed throughout the U.S. and there are currently no widespread disruptions reported in the supply chain.”

Meanwhile, at least 18 major fires have erupted at food industry facilities and plants over the past six months.

All of the fires have been officially listed as accidental or inconclusive.

Think Americana recently published a list of US-based food manufacturing plants that were damaged from 2021 to 2022 under the Biden administration.

There are 97 incidents on the list.

The latest reports show a major hit on the cattle industry.

The current heat wave blazing through Kansas feedlots has killed an estimated 10,000 head of fat cattle.

Final death numbers continue to come in, but that early estimate was shared with DTN by livestock experts, who put the geographical center point for those deaths at Ulysses, Kansas.

DTN calls to feedlots in the area and to ranchers whose branded animals were seen in some privately shared photos of dead cattle were not immediately returned.

What is known is that leading up to these heartbreaking losses, temperatures in the area were over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, there was humidity, and there was little to no wind to help cool the animals. Temperature readings reported for Ulysses began to exceed the 100-degree mark on June 11. By June 13, the high temperature was reported at 104 degrees, with humidity levels ranging from 18% to 35%. Temperature and humidity levels began to break some on June 14. Just a few days prior to the heat setting in, highs had been in the 80s.

Corbitt Wall, a cattle analyst with National Beef Wire who works out of Amarillo, Texas, told DTN he heard from two non-media sources about the extent of the Kansas losses. He noted there was frustration that despite such extensive losses, the futures market fell Monday.

As Slay News reported last week, the largest pork company in the United States has announced that it is shutting down its California plant due to high costs.

Smithfield Foods is shutting down its Vernon, CA, plant and will scale back operations in California, Utah, and Arizona

The food processing company “will cease all harvest and processing operations in Vernon, California in early 2023 and, at the same time, align its hog production system by reducing its sow herd in its Western region,” Smithfield said in a Friday news release.

“Smithfield is taking these steps due to the escalating cost of doing business in California,” the company said.

“It’s increasingly challenging to operate efficiently there,” Smithfield Foods spokesperson Jim Monroe told the Wall Street Journal.

“We’re striving to keep costs down and keep food affordable.”

On June 14, 2022, Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell revealed that he tentatively supports a bipartisan proposal on gun control and has expressed his willingness to vote for said legislation.

This gun control proposal includes “red flag” gun confiscation orders, stronger Federal Firearms Licensing (FFL) laws, and stronger background checks for individuals in the age range of 18 to 20.

“For myself, I’m comfortable with the framework and if the legislation ends up reflecting what the framework indicates, I’ll be supportive,” McConnell said to reporters following the weekly Senate GOP conference lunch.

In light of this news, McConnell is now the 11th Republican to voice his support for this bipartisan proposal. Put simply, the legislation, provided that it stays in its current form, will now have enough votes to overcome a filibuster.

BREAKING: Biden Resorts to BEGGING Foreign Leaders

(Slay News) – Democrat President Joe Biden has caved and will visit Saudi Arabia and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to beg the kingdom to pump more oil.

The move comes after the president has shut down domestic output, leading, in part, to soaring gas prices.

As gas prices skyrocket to record highs across the country, Biden may view the trip as a chance to save his presidency.

However, it could still backfire if Biden can’t get the Saudis to dramatically increase production

Biden may have to go with his tail between his legs when he meets Prince Salman as, during his campaign, he famously called Saudi Arabia a “pariah.”

Nevertheless, Biden’s move may be too little too late for most.

“President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. will visit the Middle East region from July 13-16 to reinforce the United States’ iron-clad commitment to Israel’s security and prosperity and attend a Summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council plus Egypt, Iraq, and Jordan (known as the GCC+3),” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement.

“He will also meet with counterparts from across the region, to advance U.S. security, economic, and diplomatic interests.”

“While we recalibrate relations, we’re not seeking to rupture relations because Saudi Arabia has been a strategic partner of the United States for eight decades, and we share a host of interests with Saudi Arabia, from containing Iran to counterterrorism to helping protect its territory, where, importantly, 70,000 Americans live and work,” an administration official told Fox News.

“And I just think that’s an important fact.

“I mean, Saudi Arabia has faced hundreds of missiles and UAVs over the last 18 months, many of them targeting areas where Americans live and work.

“And so we have been engaged very deeply and very constructively with the Saudis to help defeat those threats.

“And that’s something, obviously, that is going to continue.”

BREAKING: Elon Musk Delivers BIG Win for Prominent Conservative

(Slay News) – Elon Musk helped deliver a victory for Libs of TikTok after the popular conservative account received multiple death threats on Twitter.

Libs of TikTok posts content that exposed liberal hypocrisy and highlights woke lunacy.

The account is run by Chaya Raichik, who had previously remained anonymous until she was recently doxxed by far-left blogger Taylor Lorenz’s hit piece in The Washington Post.

Raichik was informed by an anonymous Twitter employee that her account may get banned.

However, Libs of TikTok was at risk of being banned despite Raichik reporting multiple accounts for sending death threats, all of which were still active.

The anonymous employee leaked a message between Twitter staff that shows them discussing the ban.

The discussion also reveals a clear left-wing bias and an effort to censor conservatives.

“We’ve experienced our share of it firsthand,” Libs of TikTok wrote on substack.

“It started in April when we got two back-to-back suspensions.

“Following those suspensions, the Left was emboldened.

“Knowing I wanted to remain anonymous, they went on a mission to expose me in the hopes of intimidating me into silence.

“This culminated with my being doxxed by Taylor Lorenz at the Washington Post.

“Instagram got on the censorship wagon as well.

“They ‘mistakenly’ disabled our account and reinstated it after realizing their ‘error.’

“Linktree suspended us, too.

“We received our third Twitter suspension just last week for posting fliers of pride events.

“I had created a ‘mega drag thread’ which documented the sharp rise in drag events for kids.

“It’s a disturbing trend; the Left has become obsessed with ensuring your 4-year-old has access to men dressed as women while dancing provocatively for cash.

“The fact that I was noticing—and drawing attention to how widespread this trend really is—seemed to trigger the Left.

“Big accounts on Twitter started calling for my suspension while labeling me a ‘domestic terrorist.’

“The below Slack conversation between Twitter employees occurred today against this backdrop and echoes some of the charges leveled at us by far-left activists.

“It was shared with us by a Twitter employee, who wishes to remain anonymous.

“We verified the names and images of the employees before we obscured them,” Raichik wrote.

The account owner then posted the death threats she gets on a daily basis and Elon Musk, a fan of the account asked why.

Musk then defended her:

“A platform cannot be considered inclusive or fair if it is biased against half the country.”

A little while later, Twitter finally suspended the accounts threatening her so Libs of TikTok publicly thanked Musk:

“Thank you Elon Musk,” Libs of TikTok said.

(Slay News) – Celebrated filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza has thrown down the gauntlet to former Attorney General William Barr and challenged him to a debate over claims of voter fraud in the 2020 election.

D’Souza’s documentary “2000 Mules” questions the integrity of the 2020 general election and the filmmaker wants to debate the film’s findings with Barr.

D’Souza threw down the challenge after Barr laughed when referring to the movie during a recorded deposition.

The deposition was aired by the anti-Trump House January 6 committee during the televised hearings on Monday.

“My opinion then, and my opinion now, is that the election was not stolen by fraud,” Barr said.

“And I haven’t seen anything since the election that changes my mind, including the ‘2000 Mules’ movie,” he added before starting to laugh.

Committee member Democratic Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) asked Barr to provide his assessment of the documentary.

Barr responded that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation had looked into the cellphone geo-tracking evidence used in “2000 Mules” by the vote integrity group True the Vote and was “unimpressed with it.”

True the Vote partnered with D’Souza in making “2000 Mules.”

GBI Director D. Victor Reynolds wrote in a September letter to the chairman of the Georgia Republican Party David Shafer and True the Vote’s Gregg Phillips that the cellphone data True the Vote offered “while curious, does not rise to the level of probable cause that a crime has been committed.”

Barr was more dismissive in his review.

“The cellphone data is singularly unimpressive,” he said during the deposition, as the Washington Examiner reported.

“I mean, basically, if you take two million cellphones and figure out where they are in a big city like Atlanta or wherever, just by definition you are going to find that many hundreds of them have passed by and spent time in the vicinity of these boxes.”

“And the premise if you go by five boxes or whatever it was that that’s a mule is just indefensible,” Barr concluded.

D’Souza responded in a series of tweets, including one that called on Barr to debate him.

“I’d like to invite Bill Barr to a public debate on election fraud,” D’Souza said.

“Given his blithe chuckling dismissal of #2000Mules this should be easy for him.

“What do you say, Barr?

“Do you dare to back up your belly laughs with arguments that can withstand rebuttal and cross-examination?”

The central premise of the documentary is that an illegal ballot harvesting scheme took place in the key swing states of Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin during the 2020 general election.

A “mule” is a term used in the movie for those who were allegedly paid to repeatedly pick up batches of ballots and place them in drop boxes.

On May 31, True the Vote’s Catherine Engelbrecht and Phillips testified before a group of Arizona Republican state senators that they used cellphone geo-tracking data to identify people who made 10 or more drop box stops along with five or more visits to non-governmental organizations working on voter turnout during the 2020 general election.

Engelbrecht told lawmakers True the Vote’s “mule” threshold was very high.

“We wanted to focus on a very clear, narrow data set that showed what we would consider this extreme outlier behavior, and ultimately we settled on 10 times,” she said.

“The devices that we focused in on went to drop boxes 10 or more times.

“And here in Arizona they went an average of 21 times,” Engelbrecht added.

The Associated Press fact-checked “2000 Mules,” claiming True the Vote’s analysis was “flawed” based on false assumptions of how precise cellphone tracking data is, based on the fact people might frequently happen to go by drop boxes for other reasons, and based on the premise that others had business being there, such as election workers.

D’Souza made clear in a Monday Twitter post that for a mule to be counted in their analysis, he or she had to go to 10 different drop boxes during the election cycle, seemingly making it very unlikely their conduct was just coincidence.

“Is there anyone competent in cell phone geotracking who will defend what Bill Barr said?” the conservative commentator wrote.

“He insists that random people in a busy city going past ballot dropboxes cannot be distinguished from mules who each go on routes and stop specifically at 10 or more dropboxes. Is this true?”

To further guard against accidentally picking up those who happened to pass by drop box locations regularly, True the Vote bought cellphone data from September, October, and November, showing before, during, and after the election.

Only those who had cellphones that placed them at drop boxes when voting was occurring were included in True the Vote’s data, the group said.

In addition to cellphone data, Phillips said in “2000 Mules” that his group has 4 million minutes of surveillance footage from drop boxes it obtained through public records requests, allegedly showing the mules in action.

The footage is shown in the movie of alleged mules taking pictures of the drop boxes and delivering multiple ballots at one time.

“Today, we are announcing a commonsense, bipartisan proposal to protect America’s children, keep our schools safe, and reduce the threat of violence across our country. The aforementioned agreement includes a vast swath of measures vastly expanding federal power concerning second amendment rights, including a plan to assist in funding ‘red flag’ law programs nationwide. Critics of such types of legislation point out that it strips Americans of any and all due process, allowing a judge or police officer to seize a citizen’s guns at a moment’s notice.

The proposal includes:

Support for State Crisis Intervention Orders

Provides resources to states and tribes to create and administer laws that help ensure deadly weapons are kept out of the hands of individuals whom a court has determined to be a significant danger to themselves or others, consistent with state and federal due process and constitutional protections.
Investment in Children and Family Mental Health Services

National expansion of community behavioral health center model; major investments to increase access to mental health and suicide prevention programs; and other support services available in the community, including crisis and trauma intervention and recovery.
Protections for Victims of Domestic Violence

Convicted domestic violence abusers and individuals subject to domestic violence restraining orders are included in NICS, including those who have or have had a continuing relationship of a romantic or intimate nature.
Funding for School-Based Mental Health and Supportive Services

Invests in programs to expand mental health and supportive services in schools, including: early identification and intervention programs and school based mental health and wrap-around services.
Funding for School Safety Resources

Invests in programs to help institute safety measures in and around primary and secondary schools, support school violence prevention efforts and provide training to school personnel and students.
