(Big League Politics) – Tragedy struck the United Kingdom on Friday after a 25-year-old man, suspected to be a Somali national, killed Conservative Member of Parliament Sir David Amess on October 15, 2021.
Amess was killed at the Belfairs Methodist Church in Leigh-on-sea. The suspect of Somali origin stabbed him multiple times at the church and was later arrested by Essex Police on suspicion of murder.
Paramedics tried to save Amess, a 69-year-old father of five, but he ended up succumbing to his wounds. Despite the hyperpolarization of British politics, as is the case in most of the West, members of all sides of the British political aisle paid homage to the fallen MP.
Scotland Yard confirmed the murder of Amess was a terror attack late on Friday evening.

Sir Lindsay Hoyle, Speaker of the House of Commons, called for lengthy discussions with regards to the security of MPs and other measures that protect them from potential assassinations. Home Secretary Priti Patel called on all law enforcement bodies to look over security arrangements for MPs “with immediate effect.”
Prime Minister Boris Johnson declared that Amess was “one of the kindest, nicest, most gentle people in politics.” Former Conservative prime minister Theresa May chimed in and said that Amess’s death was “heartbreaking”, adding: “A tragic day for our democracy.”
This attack will re-open the immigration question in the UK. Over the past two decades, Islamist assailants have been responsible for committing heinous attacks British citizens.
According to a report by The Independent, “The murder [of Amess] is being treated at this point as a probable Islamist terror attack.”
Boat migrants are arriving in record numbers on England’s south coast, a disturbing development in the post-Brexit UK. The British political class will have to get serious about immigration restriction lest it wants more attacks of this nature to occur.
British voters did not leave the EU to get pulled into another globalist style of political arrangement that promotes mass migration and the erosion of their culture.
