(CBrief) – Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has ironically come under fire from one of Hunter Biden’s attorneys for allegedly committing ‘unethical’ behavior.
In a four-page letter to the Office of Congressional Ethics, Biden attorney Abbe Lowell said the Georgia Republican “lowered herself” by exposing the first son’s debased behavior that he also apparently believed was tax deductible during a House hearing last week.
During the hearing, Greene accused Hunter of violating the Mann Act by paying for the airline tickets of prostitutes and transporting them across state lines. He paid for the airfare using his company’s funds and then took the expenses off his taxes, according to reports.
That led Lowell to demand that she be “immediately” investigated. He added that her alleged “abhorrent behavior that blatantly violates House Ethics rules and standards of official conduct,” according to a Fox News report.
“Now more than ever, the House has a duty to make loud and clear that it does not endorse, condone, or agree with her outrageous, undignified conduct and brazen violations of the standards of official conduct that do not reflect creditably on the House of Representatives,” Lowell wrote, according to The Hill, which first reported the letter.
Fox News added:
Lowell’s request stems from Greene holding up several graphic photos from Hunter Biden’s laptop during a committee hearing Wednesday where IRS whistleblowers alleged misconduct in investigations into the Biden family.
The House Oversight Committee interviewed two IRS whistleblowers — Special Agent Joseph Ziegler, whose identity was revealed during the hearing, and his IRS supervisor Gary Shapley — who alleged political misconduct throughout the Hunter Biden investigation.
Shapley previously blew the whistle on alleged political influence surrounding prosecutorial decisions throughout the yearslong federal probe into President Biden’s son.
On Wednesday, Ziegler testified that Hunter Biden listed a $10,000 deduction on his 2018 tax return, claiming it was for a golf club membership, but in reality, it was for a sex club membership. Ziegler also stated that Hunter Biden deducted payments made to prostitutes as business expenses.
Greene held up censored nude photos from Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop as she questioned Ziegler, Fox reported.
“So, when Hunter Biden paid for this woman to do this with him, to travel across state lines from California to Washington, D.C., on June 15, this is a violation of the Mann Act. This was prostitution,” Greene said.
“This is evidence of Hunter Biden making sex — excuse me, this is my time – making pornography,” she said, as Democrats objected.
“So, I can tell you that there were deductions for what we believe to be escorts. And then that $10,000 golf club membership. Yes, that was not a golf club membership, that was for a sex club payment,” Ziegler told Greene.
One Democrat who interjected claimed that showing the pictures was “unbecoming of this hearing,” while another asked, “Should we be displaying this … in the committee?”
Earlier this month, Greene called for expanding the list of people at Joe Biden’s Department of Justice who should be impeached by the GOP-led House.
The fiery Georgia Republican said that Attorney General Merrick Garland should be impeached along with U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Matthew Graves.
She knocked the AG in a recent tweet over his “refusal to prosecute Joe and Hunter Biden while persecuting President Trump and many conservatives is grounds for impeachment.” She added: “It’s absolutely unacceptable to allow these criminals to maintain power.”
In another post, she noted that she moved to impeach President Joe Biden not long after he took office.
“I filed Articles of Impeachment on Joe Biden’s first full day in office,” she wrote. “We already knew many of the crimes he committed then, but now we know so much more in just 6 months of a Republican-led House thanks to the important investigative work being done on @GOPOversight.”
