(Slay News) – Judge Jeanine Pirro called out liberal Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for charging a bodega clerk, who defended himself from a career criminal who was clearly the aggressor, with second-degree murder.
Pirro said: “This case is a microcosm of what’s going on in America today. The victim is seen as someone who should be ignored and the criminal is the one who’s being protected.
“In this situation, what you have is someone who doesn’t have a criminal record, who goes to work at noon and then comes home at three in the morning or some crazy time and you’ve got a dirtbag career criminal, two prison stints, eight at least felony arrests.
“He jumps over the counter, throws the bodega owner into a chair, pushes him, curses at him, then pulls him out of the chair, while he’s cursing at him starts attacking him and then the bodega owner in self-defense takes the knife out stabs him, kills him, that’s called justification.
“In New York state, if you are faced with deadly, physical force and you are reasonable in your belief that you are going to be harmed, based upon these circumstances, then you have the right to defend yourself.
“But you’re right, it is a Rittenhouse case.
“The problem with this in New York is everybody walks free.
“You use a gun in New York, you walk free.
“This guy Alvin Bragg, he doesn’t deserve the title District Attorney.
“They’re taking the side of the criminal and not the victim.
“This is a victim who’s been charged with murder, now has to go through the justice system and the grand jury to prove that he’s the victim and it’s all on tape.”

EDITORIAL | Jose Alba’s stabbing of Austin Simon last Friday night in a Harlem bodega was surely not second-degree murder. It likely wasn’t even manslaughter. Open your eyes to the evidence, Mr. Bragg. Read the law. Drop the charge.https://t.co/UEMtBVxCq4
