BREAKING: Mitt Romney HUMILIATED – Trump Is Laughing

Must Read

(Big League Politics) – Utah Senator Mitt Romney slammed President Donald Trump’s proposal to issue $2000 coronavirus relief checks to taxpaying Americans, citing the proposal’s impact on the yearly deficit and national debt. Romney supports the current Senate GOP plan of $600 coronavirus checks.

“If we went to $2,000 per person, the additional borrowing would be up to almost $500 billion,“ Romney told the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce in a virtual event on Sunday. “Someone’s got to pay for that. We can’t just have free money.”

President Trump has declined to sign a stimulus package that includes a $600 check, citing the bill’s inclusion of rampant pork spending and special interest giveaways. The pending coronavirus stimulus package contains more than $82 billion in bailout funding for education, much of it for colleges and universities. The bill’s education package could easily be redirected to checks towards individuals, allowing the federal government to pay taxpayers $900 without spending any additional money.

The President has cited the American people’s lack of culpability in a push for buffed relief checks, blaming the coronavirus epidemic on China. It’s all but guaranteed that the United States will incur a historically unprecedented budget deficit in 2020, and failing to keep hundreds of millions afloat could result in mass death, homelessness, economic deprivation, and a slow recovery as the federal government begins to distribute a coronavirus vaccine and pivots out of the pandemic.
