(Big League Politics) – The Sergeant-at-Arms of the House of Representatives is admitting that no credible threat warrants exterior fencing walling off the perimeter of the US Capitol.
“There does not exist a known, credible threat against Congress or the Capitol Complex that warrants the temporary security fencing,” announced acting House Sergeant-at-Arms Timothy P. Blodgett in a Friday email.
Congressional liberals have advanced sweeping conspiracies alleging grand QAnon plots to attack Congress and disrupt the January 20th Inauguration, all of which have been shown to be unmerited. The large National Guard presence at the Capitol is continuing– against the wishes of senior National Guard Bureau officials.
Capitol police began dismantling barbed wire fencing and protective barriers last week.
By Monday, it’s expected that Constitution and Independence Avenues adjacent to the Capitol building will be opened to the public, with vehicle barricades blocking traffic removed as well. The troop presence at the Congress is allocated to continue until May, a full five months after President Biden’s Inauguration. However, a decision on the part of President Biden or senior Department of Defense officials may keep the deployment in place, perhaps permanently.
