(Slay News) – A newly elected Republican congresswoman has fired back after a video appeared to show Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) “pushing” her young daughter during a photo op at her swearing-in ceremony
Rep. Mayra Flores of Texas, a rising star in the GOP, blasted Pelosi over the allegation.
Flores revealed that being “pushed to the side” by Pelosi didn’t “faze” the young child, however.
Flores responded after a video posted on social media showed Pelosi posing with her and her family during the ceremony.
As the girl stands next to the speaker for the photo, it appears as though Pelosi elbows Flores’s daughter out of the way.

“I am so proud of my strong, beautiful daughter for not allowing this to faze her,” Flores said.
“She continued to smile and pose for the picture like a Queen.
“No child should be pushed to the side for a photo op. PERIOD!!”
