(CBrief) – The hosts of the ABC talk show “The View” have said some insane things before but this one even took other hosts aback..
The hosts were talking about a recent story where a Florida teacher had to step down because some parents found a statue of David she was using was too pornographic.
That was when co-host Sara Haines chimed in with her own story about nudity.
“Why is this suddenly a problem and what if they photoshop a jockstrap on the image?” co-host Joy Behar said.
“The part that upsets me about this is the shame we are teaching kids about their bodies,” she said. “They are born with penises, vaginas, fingers, eyeballs, toes — they should all be treated the same.”
“I understand empowering your child to keep things private in who you show those to. But literally, when we wonder why kids fall victim to body image and everything else, we’ve taught them to hide themselves, especially girls,” she said.
“I grew up in a religious household where it was like, don’t have sex, it’s a sin, God won’t love you, don’t do it,” she said.
But she did defend the teacher and the school for showing the sculpture and said “We’re all born naked.”
“I put my lotions on, my kids have seen my body,” she said.
“Your kids have seen your tatas?” co-host Sunny Hostin said.
“Absolutely. They still — they ask if there’s milk in there,” she said.
Sara Haines promotes exposing kids to sexual content early.
She claims if you don't they won't know how to respond to medical issues or sexual abuse.
She admits to walking around naked in front of her kids.
