(Slay News) – Former Vice President Mike Pence fired back at Kamala Harris after she attacked Republicans over the bombshell leak of a Supreme Court opinion that spells doom for Roe v Wade.
Harris was giving a speech to Emily’s List when she said: “Women in almost half the country could see their access to abortion severely limited and that in 13 states women would lose access to abortion immediately and outright”
“Those Republican leaders who are trying to weaponize the use of the law against women, well we say ‘How dare they? How dare they tell a woman what she can do and cannot do with her own body? How dare they?’”
Pence fired back:
“I say with the lives of 62 million unborn boys and girls ended in abortion since 1973, generations of mothers enduring heartbreak and loss that can last a lifetime: Madame Vice President, how dare you?”
The leaked SCOTUS draft opinion, written by Justice Samuel Alito, revealed plans to overturn the landmark abortion ruling.
“Roe was egregiously wrong from the start,” Alito wrote in the opinion.
“We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled.
“It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives,” he added.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has vowed to find the leaker:
“In over 200 years of our nation’s history, that has never happened.
“And there was one woke little left-wing twit who decided, to hell with his or her obligations to the justice they work for, to hell with their obligations to the court.
“To hell with their obligations to the rule of law, that they would instead try to sneak it out in order to put political pressure on the justices and intimidate them into changing their votes.
“We’re going to find this person.
“And when they’re found, they’re going to be fired on the spot.
“They will be disbarred if they’re a member of the bar, or they will never be admitted to the bar to be a lawyer.
“And to the extent that they’ve broken criminal laws, they need to be prosecuted and sent to jail,” Cruz said.
