President Joe Biden conveyed to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a phone conversation on Saturday that the United States does not endorse or engage in any form of Israeli retaliation against the unprecedented assault on Israel originating from Iranian territory. This message was shared as Israel emerged relatively unharmed from the barrage of Iranian drones and missiles. This information was reported by Axios.
“You got a win. Take the win,” Biden said, according to a source Axios identified only as a “senior White House official.”
The official said Netanyahu told Biden he understood the U.S. president’s position.

To summarize the assault, The New York Times stated that nearly all of the over 300 missiles and drones launched towards Israel were successfully intercepted, resulting in minimal damage. However, it is noteworthy that Iran violated a significant boundary by firing weapons from its own territory into Israeli territory.
“Had defenses not held, scores or hundreds could have been killed,” the Times reported.
Iran has declared that its retaliation has concluded in response to the deaths of seven Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps officers who were killed in an April attack on the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, Syria. While Israel has not officially taken responsibility for the attack, it is widely believed to be the culprit.
“The matter can be deemed concluded,” the Iranian Mission to the United Nations said in a statement published on X on Saturday evening.“However, should the Israeli regime make another mistake, Iran’s response will be considerably more severe.
