Former President Donald Trump has set his sights on a potential second term as president and has outlined his plans during an interview with Time magazine. The interview, which was released on Tuesday, took place at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, followed by a subsequent phone conversation.

Various subjects were deliberated upon, encompassing a substantial operation to expel migrants and the matter of abortion. Trump expressed his intention to employ the military in executing the deportation strategy, despite the existence of a legal prohibition against deploying American troops against civilians.

“Well, these aren’t civilians,” Trump said. “These are people that aren’t legally in our country. This is an invasion of our country. An invasion like probably no country has ever seen before. They’re coming in by the millions. I believe we have 15 million now. And I think you’ll have 20 million by the time this ends. And that’s bigger than almost every state.”

“I think we’re going to win,” Trump said. “And if we don’t win, you know, it depends. It always depends on the fairness of an election.”

When further pushed about States’ rights to abortion, Trump responded by saying “It’s irrelevant whether I’m comfortable or not. It’s totally irrelevant, because the states are going to make those decisions.”

Trump concluded that the NYT articles was “very nice” and “at least 60% correct, which is about all I can ask for.”
