(TStarnes) – Tens of thousands of pro-Hamas demonstrators caused mayhem in the streets of Washington, D.C. over the weekend. The mob turned violent after dark when hundreds stormed the White House gates, shoving Palestinian flags through the fence.
At one point several Muslims scaled the White House fence but were pushed back by Secret Service agents. All the while, the massive crowd chanted, “Allahu Akbar.”
It was, by the definition set by the January 6 committee, an insurrection. However, only one person was arrested. And DC police downplayed the violence and vandalism.
The protesters could be seen defacing multiple statues in downtown Washington as well, wrapping Palestinian flags around a statue of Benjamin Franklin and another of General Marquis de Lafayette near the White House.
They also smeared red paint on the White House fences and damaged several police cars.
“During the event, several minor incidents of property damage and vandalism were reported to police. One adult male was arrested for Destruction of Property in the 700 block of 17th Street, Northwest. In addition, MPD is currently investigating acts of vandalism that damaged the McPherson Square Metro Station and several police vehicles,” the MPD wrote in a press release provided to Fox News Digital.
Conservative columnist Armstrong Williams posted a video while he was standing in Lafayette Park.
“The Palestinian flag was raised and it still remains,” he said while pointing out the graffiti that had been splattered on the statue. “They have raised the Palestinian flag on the grounds of the White House.”
And yet no one was arrested.
“Demonstrators are beginning to disperse from the area and the attempted gate trespass from earlier was handled without incident by Secret Service Uniformed Division officers and support teams,” Anthony Guglielmi, chief of communications for the Secret Service, said. “As of now, no arrests have been made by Secret Service personnel.”
Let’s get real — had the protesters been wearing red MAGA hats they would have all been in jail.
