Families of American hostages held captive in Gaza reportedly did not receive invitations to the White House Hanukkah celebration, as per CNN. Ruby Chen, whose son Itay is a reservist missing since the militant group’s October 7 attacks on Israel, mentioned that several families of American hostages were in Washington, DC, this week and had contacted the White House to attend the reception but were not included.
A White House spokesperson chose not to provide a comment. As per the White House, there are still seven American men and one woman unaccounted for since the Israel-Hamas war began.
