Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), a prominent conservative figure, addressed the recent “swatting” incident that occurred at her residence on Christmas Day. In her response, she took the opportunity to criticize the Justice Department and FBI under President Joe Biden’s administration.
The local authorities in Rome, Ga. were alerted to the alleged emergency at Taylor’s home, with the New York Post confirming the incident. It was reported that an individual contacted the emergency dispatch center, claiming to have shot his girlfriend and threatening to harm himself.
“Our team in their response … coordinated with her security detail and it was determined that there was no emergency and that she was safe,” the spokesperson told The Post. “Our response was actually canceled en route.”
“I was just swatted. This is like the 8th time,” Greene posted on the X platform. “On Christmas with my family here. My local police are the GREATEST and shouldn’t have to deal with this. I appreciate them so much and my family and I are in joyous spirits celebrating the birth of our savior Jesus Christ!”
I was just swatted.

On Christmas with my family here.
My local police are the GREATEST and shouldn’t have to deal with this.

Later on, Greene criticized the FBI for their alleged incompetence in apprehending the individuals behind the swatting incidents. The Georgia Republican pointed out that despite the FBI’s abundant resources and advanced capabilities, they have still not managed to ascertain the identities of the perpetrators.
“I was swatted this morning on Christmas Day and a few days ago – Thursday Dec 21st. we received this death threat where this man is saying I will be shot in the head and skinned to make a ‘parasol’ making a reference to Gein, who was a psychopath killer who would make things out of his victim’s skin. He also says he would like to smash Pres Trump’s and Brian’s heads on a curb,” Greene noted in an X thread.

In another post, she included screenshots from someone named Ben McLean who was critical of the FBI:
“They have not arrested Ben McLean yet. They simply called him on the phone and Cap Police sent us this email about what he said. The outright absurdity of this email response and the fact that they have not arrested this guy is shocking, thankfully I’m a gun owner. But compare it to how the FBI and DOJ treats J6’ers, Pres Trump, and their political enemies.
Why doesn’t the FBI just call J6’ers on the phone, like the man who says he wants to shoot me in the head and use my skin to make a parasol, and just ask them about what they said on January 6, 2021 instead of hunting them down and locking them up doing the bidding of the DOJ who continues to issue arrest warrants almost everyday for people who said the 2020 election was stolen.
Incredible double standard.
Also, if you read McLean’s messages he says he knows the FBI, names an agent, says he likes them, and says the FBI is recruiting him. Is the FBI recruiting a man who is threatening to kill a member of congress and crush the skull of President Trump?
The Post further explained: “Swatting” is a harassment tactic in which pranksters report a faux emergency to law enforcement to dispatch officers to a victim’s address. Many conservatives have fallen victim to swatting. Activist Jack Posobiec claimed his parents were swatted on Saturday.”
The ‘swatting’ incidents against Greene began in August, happening two nights in a row.
“911 received a call from the suspect, claiming responsibility for the incident and explaining his/her motives. ’They explained they were upset about Ms. Greene’s stance on ‘trans-gender youth’s rights,’ and stated they were trying to ‘swat’ her,’” she said, quoting local police.
Additionally, Rep. Brandon Williams (R-NY) announced, “Our home was swatted this afternoon. Thanks to the Deputies and Troopers who contacted me before arriving. They left with homemade cookies and spiced nuts! Merry Christmas everyone!”
UPDATE: Capitol Police & local police are investigating the Swatting incident at our home on this Christmas Day.
