(SNews) – Democrat President Joe Biden is disputing the results of several recent polls that show him underwater in multiple battleground states.
Polling shows Biden trailing far behind President Donald Trump in five out of six major battlegrounds.
On Thursday, reporters confronted Biden about the polls but the president refused to accept the results.
Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy pressed Biden regarding the role of abortion in the upcoming 2024 election.
Doocy continued by grilling Biden about his rivalry with Trump.
Multiple polls have shown Trump with significant leads over Biden in the major swing states.
“Why do you think it is that people should be more concerned about abortion access than your age?” Doocy asked Biden.
“I don’t think it’s a comparable comparison,” Biden responded.
“Why do you think it is that you’re trailing Trump in all these swing-state polls?” Doocy asked.
“Because you don’t read the polls – there are 10 polls – eight of them I’m beating him in.
“You guys only do two,” Biden said.
“CNN, New York Times, check it out.

Another reporter then pressed Biden, asking, “You don’t believe you’re losing in swing states?”
“No, I do not,” Biden said.

The exchange comes just days after a New York Times/Siena College poll found that Trump is leading Biden in five of six key states in a potential 2024 head-to-head matchup.
Trump leads Biden in Nevada, Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, and Pennsylvania by margins of four points or more.
Meanwhile, Biden leads Trump by just 47%-45% in Wisconsin.
Trump remains dominant in the Republican 2024 presidential field, and Biden is all but assured of securing the Democratic nomination.
The poll also revealed that 71% of respondents agree that Biden is too old to run for a second term.
The poll shows that a whopping 54% of respondents who voted for Biden in 2020 now believe that he should step aside for a new candidate.
The news comes as new polling data shows Gov. Gavin Newsom, Biden’s rumored replacement for 2024, is also underwater with voters in his home state of California.
As Slay News reported, a new UC Berkeley Institute of Government Studies poll co-sponsored by the Los Angeles Times revealed Tuesday that Newsom’s approval dropped to an all-time low last month.
49% of the 6,342 California registered voters polled said they disapproved of Newsom’s performance as governor.
Newsom’s approval rating was 44%, which is down 11 points from February.
