The Biden administration has gone to great lengths to downplay his age-related mishaps, resorting to comical measures. In the past year, our elderly president has been seen donning sneakers with his suits in situations where he is prone to stumbling, like the stairs of Air Force One. However, even this has not been sufficient to prevent his mishaps.
Now, the White House has taken it a step further by providing Biden with a pair of the most absurd-looking shoes ever imagined by humans. He sported a pair of sneakers that appear normal at first glance, but upon closer examination, feature rubber soles much larger than those of regular sneakers.
As reported by the syndicated program “Inside Edition” in February, Biden wore these sneakers during his trip to the southern border on Feb. 29.
The television show “Inside Edition” apparently believed that the American public was eagerly anticipating the revelation of the brand of rubber boats worn by President Biden. They informed their viewers that the new sneakers Biden sported were the Hoka brand Transport sneakers, which were deemed ridiculous. According to the Hoka website, these shoes are priced at $175 and are primarily designed for hiking and walking. The website also proudly states that these oversized sneakers have received the American Podiatric Medical Association Seal of Acceptance, ensuring their suitability for foot health.
In an effort to highlight President Biden’s perceived lack of stability, the Republican Party’s social media arm, RNC Research, shared a post featuring the “Inside Edition” segment on the social media platform X:

Fox News highlighted the attention drawn to Biden’s large sneakers, which have sparked humor on social media, with some calling them “boat anchors,” “piers,” and “Air Bidens.”
According to a report by “Inside Edition,” these shoes are intended to assist with Biden’s “peripheral neuropathy,” a condition that causes nerve damage in his feet, aiming to alleviate the associated symptoms.
Despite wearing regular sneakers, Biden faced difficulty climbing the stairs to Air Force One recently, prompting his team to opt for these specialized shoes. Nevertheless, while these supportive sneakers cater to Biden’s foot health needs, they do little to address voters’ concerns about his age.
